Enter Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). The idea behind SFBT is to develop realistic solutions as quickly as possible, rather than keeping people in therapy for long periods of time to bring immediate and lasting relief for clients. 

SFBT aims to help people through difficult challenges with the philosophy that many individuals already have the skills to cope and create change in their lives, but that individuals often need help identifying those skills. SFBT also recognizes that people already know, on some level what is needed to change their lives, but sometimes the goals are unclear. Therapy in this manner is used to help identify and clarify their goals.
